Thanks for the comment. I did think about making it self supporting but just too much hassle. The OpenBeam is so easy. With OpenBeam, 3 mm is perfect as the standard mount screws that you buy with it are perfect length. Any thicker and you'd have to get longer screws. If you make it self supporting, you won't be able to do the magnetic side in the same way. The removable side would have to be double thickness or something to give a frame for the side. Hah! I'm very excited about your design. I designed virtually the same enclosure (dimensions, doors, ventilation) for myself, but didn't release it, since it is not produced yet. One question though: I planned with 5 mm acrylic glass - do you find 3 mm as stable and rigid enough? If yes, I would adapt mine order... (however, since I didn't plan to use open beam - but rather to keep the enclosure "self-bearing" by making the bolted joints in the corners - I wonder if 3 mm would be enough) So anyway, I really like what you did there!
