Thank you so much for this.
Where does the feeder knurl go?
Also I believe the list above should be updated to say 2 UM2 Feeder wheels right?
Does anyone know if there are specs available to order the bearing? I would like to retain my original feeder as is in addition to this one.
Thanks,

Since we use the new MK8 Drive Gear it works almost perfect. See:

I like the additions of the extra filament guide and knurled turning knob, so I went with this design over IRobertI's.

I'm also not sure where the spacer is supposed to go though. Guess I'll just leave it out.

Also, why are the holes in the arm and latch so much bigger than in they are in the corresponding part of the body (5mm instead of 3mm)?

The "snap on guide" didn't print for me at all in this vertical orientation. Could have switched on supports, but I'd say the layering then would have made the part weaker. So I just turned the thing on it's back instead.

Be great if there were some actual instructions provided. I'm not sure where the spacer goes and it looks like another hole needs to be drilled.

Works great, only some times the filament gets stuck behind the bearing. I just removed the snap on guide to make it work better for me.

Looks like a nice design. I notice all of these feeder designs put a large side load on the end of the stepper shaft as you increase the feeder tension to squeeze the filament harder. Is that a good thing for the stepper motor? Would the design be improved by having some support for the motor drive shaft on the side opposite the filament?

Also wondering how long have you been printing using this new design; is the performance and reliability good?
