Purple, blue and yellow are the preferred colours of the wasp. But of course many dazzling colours attract them because they can see UV light and polarized light. What they do not like is green, white or any very bright colours because they seem like grey for wasps. They can't see black, but because it will offer a warm surface (if the sun is shining on it), it can attract them too. I will try this trap - thanks for it!
