You can draw a profile in inkscape and rotate_extrude it in OpenSCAD to create a sweet vase or goblet.The final print was made by turning on spiralize the outer contour (in expert config), zero infill and no infill top (expert config again)You can do something similar in Repetier/Slic3r by setting no top layer, 0 fill and a sufficiently thin perimeter loop (1 or 2). Spiralize in Cura does one (which makes for relatively fast printing, but he resultant vase is pretty thin (the top section is quite flexy, even printed in PLA).
