On the older machines there was a key hole that this would clip into. This is not present in newer machines as they no longer provide the guide

how do you secure this printed part to the back of the printer? glue it over the existing screw?

The guide on github has a fixed end. I found that when the filament passes through on an angle it can bite and not freely move. My one has a roller which rotates so the filament can easily pass around it.
