Just wanted to thank you for this version! I know IRobertI's system seems highly favorited, but having the back plate holding the extruder motor makes yours a design on its own. Very tough and sturdy. To those who print this just make sure to print the arm at the highest infill you can, I did 100%.

@UltiArjan You are right, but the plastic is strong, the surfaces are smooth, no screws are sticking out, the friction is minimal, and the spring is still able to do its job without breaking anything.

Interesting design. I notice the swingarm holding the ballbearing is only connected to the back of the body. won't that cause an uneven distribution of force, basically forcing the swingarm to the packplate of the printer?
