I was approached by a local Ultrasound Clinic for expecting mothers concerning a broken switch on their Ultrasound Transducer (S-VAW4-7). The tech there had an issue since they are unable to get replacement parts, and without a working switch the unit is near useless. I quickly made up a design for them in solidworks which allows for quick easy printing. I could have copied the original exactly but I wanted to simplify the design for strength and print-ability. I did the CAD design work for free to help out the local business, and printed extra copies for them to use if they have any other failures of the switches. The replacement switches fit snug and they worked like a charm. This has been the first truly useful print I have done since I moved to Texas, as it saved a product which replacement parts are non existent or hard to get.
