Description

This spacer is used on the x/y rods of an UMO between the bearing and the pulley. Scaled to the needed length it allows for fixing the rods with the pulleys from the inside of the frame instead of using end caps with friction. The idea of the design was first introduced by Ultimaker with the UM2.

Anyone who's printed these for the UMO got any idea on what lengths you need?

As I wrote, it was not my idea. Ultimaker introduced the concept with the UM2.

you cannot imagine how long i thought about possible ways to hold the rod in place without the friction that comes from the original outer bearing caps. but i never thought about such a simple way - i am impressed! thank you!
