Hi Norphi, these bearings are used to make filament roll-off smooth. You should mount them bweteen the 'spool holder shaft' and the 'spool holder centerring'.

Hi Antonverburg! Thanks for your efforts to make FlexFilament printable. I've struggled a lot with that stuff! I'm approaching assembly of the tower but I can't quite figure out what the two 619-0288 bearings are for. Little help? Greetings, Norphi

Hello Antonverburg Thank you for uploading the hinge file. I did print all parts and assemble the unit. I have had great results. I was able to print with Ultimaker White flex PLA at standard (default speed). The print was over eight hours and I had no problems at all. I found that I could run at 195 deg. c and 40% flow rate. The speed rate was the same that I used to print with standard Ultimaker PLA. I ran a second test part which is a mud tire for a scale model. It is 1.8 inches dia. I ran it 100% fill and again at 195 deg. c but at 75% speed. One thing I did was to move the Bowden tube right up to the bearing and the knurled driver. By doing this, I had no buckling of material at all. Great Idea thanks for sharing. Rich Tech

Another issue: it seems that the three bearings on top to guide the filament are not required. On my own system I have actually removed them because as the filament could slip in between two of the bearings, sometimes the filament stuck there instead of being guided. Using Roberts V2 extruder the metal ring already does a good job. I will keep you updated, and if I really leave them off finally update the models with this modification.

It is correct that hinge was missing. I have added it. About de differences between video and design: during assembly I saw that I had to break away some parts to make it work smooth, and also some other details broke directly without use because they where too weak. I have changed the models accordingly, but I did not print the new models for myself. That's the reason of the differences. Models should fit, if not let me know, so that I can modify them for you.

Hello again I notice that the spool holder centering file is different from the video. Is it possible that The files here are not the current ones. Thanks again Rich Tech

Hello I have printed all of the parts and have begun assembly. Looks good so far but I don't seem to have the "Hinge file." I don't see it here on line? Thanks Rich Tech

I just replaced the files with files that already have the correct print orientation.
