Description

The default knob can only be turned by pushing a finger slightly against it - but push too hard and you click by accident. This new knob is much less annoying to use - I promise. The knob is easy to make - no support or finishing work required. To remove the original knob, I glued something to it and then pulled it straight out (but don't blame me if something breaks).Settings:- shell thickness 0.8 mm (using a nozzle of 0.4 mm), that way the part will be built mostly of "shell" and very little infill- 0.8 mm bottom / top thickness- layer height 0.1 mm- no support

Will this fit on the Ultimaker 3?

I added a few "wrinkles" to the knob so that it does not slip when grabbing. Thank you for uploading the SLDPRT for easy modification. Not sure how to upload a remix of it yet. Further I wanted to note, that you do not need to glue something on the knob to get it out. Just take the hex key and push it out from the back (there is a little hole).

Thank you for this genius little knob! This is the best design so far and comfortable too. The printout with PLA was easy and straightforward and it fits excellent. Marcus
