Good work. Unfortunately there is no SCAD or source file for the adapter/interface. Well :-) Thats the one for E3D: https://www.youmagine.com/users/mararuo/follow#information To import to opens cad this worked: import("Foehnsturme3dv6c.stl", convexity=3);

<p>Trying out the Merlin version and it seems like there may have been a slight change in the Merlin hotend design, as the internal radius of the holder is a little too small and the width of the index is a little to large.</p><p>The Ubis version fit my Ubis hotend perfectly, so I don't think it is a printer problem.</p>

And never mind. Looks like the ever brilliant foehnsturm made it appropriately symmetric already.

Was thinking about modifying the design so that the print head could be inverted to allow an easier conversion to work with the Z-unlimited add on (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1661525705/z-unlimited-add-on-for-ultimaker)

Thank you! I chose especially the Merlin for its compactness and the super tiny airbrush nozzles. CAD software: Moi3D.com

What a beatifuly ingenious way of changing extruders! I love it! Why did you choose the Merlin and the Ubis extruders? In what CAD program did you design it?

I uploaded a STEP file with the UBIS parts. Disclaimer: Last time when i was working on this we had a power breakdown. Parts look o.k. but I might miss something.

I'm interested in trying this out with my UBIS hot end. Do you have application files that I can edit? I'd love to add fan mounts.

Update: Added a file with the parts for the UBIS.

It's for an UM Original. As I didn't manage to get the footprint below 39x39mm end stops have to be adjusted.

Interesting :) I wonder what this looks like installed on an Ultimaker. Is it for an UM Original or Ultimaker 2?
