Obviously you should print them in a material whose food safety you are comfortable with. We printed them in PETG. They have gone through the dishwasher (and kids hands) without damage. Use plenty of infill so they don't crack as they bend. We used double wall thickness (2 mm) and 75% infill. Layer height does not matter; we used 0.35 mm.
