Well.. my buddy has chronic Asthma and has to use a now very expensive inhaler medicine. I guess the big pharmaceutical companies were not making enough money off of the first design that protected the bottle end from being pressed accidentally. So, this basically keeps you from leaking out the medicine from bumping it around in your pocket but allowing your finger to access it to press.
