This guide helps me position the blade for an even cut, protects (a little bit) the threads where I'm not supposed to be. This guide is for M6 screws 6.5in long. The hole is specified for the exact outside diameter measured from one of the screws to be cut. FDM filament spread fills in the hole just enough that you can cut threads in it by running the screw in.
