I always do a rough job cutting machine screws to length with a hacksaw. This guide helps me position the blade for an even cut, protects (a little bit) the threads where I'm not supposed to be.
This guide is for M6 screws 6.5in long. The hole is specified for the exact outside diameter measured from one of the screws to be cut. FDM filament spread fills in the hole just enough that you can cut threads in it by running the screw in.

I printed these "on their backs" with the cut side up, so very little support was needed - none internally.
Printed coarse, out of PETG (what I happened to have on the printer at the time). Print 1 per screw you want to cut.
After cutting, you probably want to grind or file the cut end of the screw. You can do this with the guide on or off.
Print 1 per screw, and dispose after use.
