This is a design for a dust cover hinge, as found on Sony record players. They tend to break where the spring is mounted in the hinge. I purposely designed it in parts, so that the filament can be printed in the optimal direction. Another design I found had this weak seam in the print, whichever way you oriented it. This way all seams run optimal and it's less likely to break.
I print ABS so I connected the parts with acetone and gave it a vapour bath to really get the strength in the parts.
Will post pictures of the finished design later. I was impatient and decided to heat-dry the acetone soaked part. It blew up like a balloon! A wise lesson here folks, give it a little time!
