Thanks for looking out for my rights. This design is derived from https://www.youmagine.com/designs/blizzard-of-customizable-mailable-snowflake-ornaments . Dirk let me know when he posted his design, that it was derived from mine, and he added attribution to the description (perhaps in response to your comment), so we're good. My design is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial license, so I think all is fine. Cute kids, too!

Hi Dirk, thanks for sharing this here. I hope you don't mind it if I provide a (constructive) comment here...
You're mentioning where you've found the file you've built your design on, which is a great step towards providing attribution to the person who made that original. The unwritten rule is that you mention the (user)name as well.
Also, we've build some nice functionality to also be able to share the SCAD file which will automatically be converted to an STL. This means that you don't need to manually convert to STL and can just upload that SCAD file. The SCAD file is more useful for collaboration, so that's why we're making it more attractive to upload those.
Cheers and thanks for sharing on YouMagine! If you have any feedback, just reply or PM me.
My wife got me an Ultimaker2 for fathers day 2014 (best wife ever) and have been having fun doing projects, especially with my kids.
Here are a few things that I have designed.
I also maintain a blog about projects I make with my family:
