They do work. Once recovered, they are able to relaunch within minutes. I don't know what you mean by a rocket housing though. We launch them off a launch rod (3mm metal rod) with Estes rocket engines. I made my own electric igniter that uses a 9v battery as well.

Does this work? As in did you 3D print a functional rocket housing?
