Ps am thinking abaut changing the foot so the a: the cable run through the inner of the foot and B: a few ball joints more so that the can rotate display 180 degrees in all directions

glue or screw the foot to the surface of your choice and snap the back cover of the housing in and than the rest of the housing . so basicly a yes to your question
