The Zodiac MX8 vacuum side pool cleaner has a clockwork like timing gear train that uses 7 identical gears. It is not unusual that the high torque side gear (nylon) strips a tooth. This gear when printed can be placed on the low torque side and allow on of the other nylon gears to do the heavy lifting on the high torque side.
