My brother who teaches shooting to scouts has a number (that number would be 6) of Remington 514 youth guns. The problem is they're difficult to fire if you're not a youth so he proposed I create an extension for the stock. Which I did. Simply remove the stock end cap and replace with this. This was created using a technique of stamping the part in question on grid paper to better line it up to make a physical model. It's not quite scanning, but it's close. I covered this technique in 3D Printing Blueprints and on my old blog. http://joesmakerbot.blogspot.com/2012/11/picture-perfect-modeling-step-by-step.htmlI may try a modular one some day with a clip on extension.
