The design is based around these specific components. If you swap out the cover or the button it may not fit. I use an assortment of lengths of #6-32 stainless steel flat head machine screws, nuts, and washers for all the screws on the keytar. 1 USB to micro-USB cable (or whichever your version of a Pi uses). Get one with the thickest gauge wire possible to reduce resistance.
