I have had issues with my PVA absorbing moisture. As I print continuously it doesn't come off the machine. It inevitably absorbs moisture. So I designed a casing which allows the reel to freely rotate, contains two packets of silica gel and has a 6mm tube coming out of it. I have tried to minimise the exposure of the material to the out side. I have also put the whole thing in a bag with more silica gel. It has worked well for the last 48 hours where not a pop was heard.
