Post-Printing: The two half shells are held together by the fan screws (8 pieces M3x30), and offer good mounting possibilities inside and outside. Eight cable channels for 2.25mm thick cables and four slots for fan cables already exist. If required, additional cable feedthroughs can be drilled. Use sufficiently dimensionally stable printing material according to the maximum temperature to be achieved. For example, you use PLA as the printing material, and in the PLA housing, you operate a PTC heating element with max. 60 degrees Celsius, then you must note the following: The heat exiting directly from the housing and the ambient air must be permanently below 50 degrees Celsius. Choose sufficiently powerful fans and also calculate a lag time for the fans. If you follow these notes, then even a housing made of PLA for the purposes mentioned may be suitable. And of course you can print the case with completely different materials, but be sure to pay attention to the specifications of the material of your choice How I Designed This: This is just one part of my upcoming package of a filament dryer.
