The sun gear is a vitamin, purchased from hobbyking. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__45522__10T_5mm_M1_Hardened_Steel_Pinion_Gear_1pc_.html At one point, there was a sun gear in the openscad sources, but I found that it was extremely unreliable, and caused far too many failures.

Also, https://www.youmagine.com/designs/differential-planetary-gearbox has a higher gear ratio, and can use a printed sun gear.

<p>Install nuts into all of the nut traps, bolt the base onto the motor, bolt the gearbox onto the base, bolt the extruder onto the base.</p>

There's source code on github - in planetary_50mm.scad, change ring_teeth to 45, change motor_size and motor_mount_hole_spacing to match a nema 14.
