-I'd recommend PLA filament, since I've heard that ABS shrinks the tiniest bit... But I'm sure it won't make a significant dimension change...
-I've also seen a filament that's called NinjaFlex, which is a rubber-like material. If you want a gel case, go for it, I think that'd be better against shocks...
