A face shield, which doctors and nurses can wear to help protect themselves against bodily fluids, which could carry infection like the coronavirus. I get a super feedback from two doctors to make the shield more comfortably to wear. And i put in a model to print a template for the protective film warm it up to adapt to the shape of the head It is no substitute for a professional protection, but better then to use nothing This project contains small parts and plastic wrap that can be dangerous to infants and toddlers use on your own risk

Hallo Eric, thank you for the Information about the norm, I will look at it. For this shield is the idea to use it if you can not bay a professional shield. Better than to have nothing. A PET bottle is a good idea und everywhere in the world available Greetings Ralf

Another tip in case of using this as a last-resort: PET bottle can also be a source of a fairly strong PET sheet! The curvature might not be idea, but thermal treatment could help there.

In response to the COVID19 pandemic, European Norms regarding face masks are now published free of charge. This link pertains to personal eye protection: https://www.hzn.hr/UserDocsImages/pdf/HRN%20EN%20166_2002.pdf

Nice one. I had ordered elsewhere but that was much more expensive and smaller pieces. I intend to laser cut these, so this is a great suggestion. Thanks!

Hallo Erik, i use 0.3mm pet foil form the hardware store or garden marked (it is used to build greenhouses) or from ebay (https://www.ebay.de/itm/Folie-0-3mm-x-0-54-m-PET-A-glasklar-hart-tiefziehfest-sehr-stark/123931587967?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=424713471128&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 ) 0.2 is good too, I used this in the beginning, but especially when you want to clean the shield it is more easy with a stronger material. Greetings and stay healthy Ralf

Great, no worries about the delay, glad it worked out. What kinds of sheets are you currently using and what do you recommend? I saw that Erik Cederberg is recommending DIN A4 PET foil of 200 micron (0.2 mm).

Hallo Erik de Bruijn, sorry for the delay, i had problems to upload the data to the platform! Now all the data is available. All a little slower than normal! I am very happy you help to bring the design to the people who need it in there fight against the coronavirus. The design is made in cooperation with a praxis of a doctor, if the uses in the hospital is different and you are asked for any changes do not hesitate to contact me. Greeting Ralf Hoffmann

I will print a few and provide them to a hospital if I get the opportunity. I'm in contact with a buyer at a hospital in NL. They confirmed that this is what they have a shortage of. If they asses which ones they like best we can send more. Head comfort is really in important, as well as production time and quantity.
