This is a threaded needle for ropework/knotting. There are needles of this kind to buy for paracord, they are really affordable. However for cordage with a diameter of more than 4 mm i haven't found any. I've made a wide variety of metal ones using a lathe. Not everybody has a lathe and a metal one can be made entirely without a lathe, but this is way easier. This needle will do cords/ropes between 4 and 8 mm. It has a threaded (M6) hole for attaching the rope. One of the models is printed with a 5 mm hole to be threaded after printing with a thread cutting tap. The other model prints the thread in place. Choose the one most apropriate for you. It works well and is quite sturdy.
