A retaining clip for 11 inch glass globes for ceiling fans made by Hampton Bay and/or Minka Aire. Sadly I don't know the model number, I was unable to determine exactly what fan this is, but I'm pretty sure it was sold by Home Depot.  If your fan looks something like mine, this clip may work for you...
