Which lid would you recommend for using two ball lock posts?

Sorry for the extremely late response but.....the "mason jar" lid comes with that brand of growler. The Zythos project growler. http://thezythosproject.com/ It comes with a piece of stainless sheet metal and a silicone gasket cut in a circle. I just made something to use instead of their gasket and peice of stainless. I made one that has ball lock fittings for use in a kegerator type system. There wasn't enough room in the opening of the OEM screw on part so you have to trim a little plastic off the ball lock connectors but it works fine. I will upload it.

I am looking to make a growler lid that I can hook up to a kegerator, and this looks like a good start! Sounds close to your picnic cap idea. I like the "mason jar" lid strategy, but I am wondering what you used for the threaded portion? I was planning to cut an existing lid, but yours looks much cleaner.
