One thing I don't like about Delta printers is that when the steppers are released, the carriage tends to drop onto the bed. I designed this carriage hanger to stop this from happening
Nothing special is required in the print. I used 25% infill, 3 perimeters, and no support. The only thing I had to do was to run a drill through the hole to clean it up. I used a 9/16" bit.
To use it, home the printer, then slip the hangers into place by placing the small hole onto the screw that holds one of the vertical rods in place, allowing the slot to slide onto the rod itself (see picture). Power down the printer, and the carriage will be held in place Use 1, 2 or 3 hangers, as you wish.
To use the printer again, just connect and home it, then pull the hangers off.
