Either can be used independently.The SCAD modules can be broken out and used separately. If you have a different diameter pipe, just change the 28mm measurement at the top to something else before printing. If you make it much smaller you may need to squeeze the VIRB mount down a bit to keep it from gapping at the edges.I just go about 1 mm bigger than my bar so there's just room for a couple layers of electrical tape to provide friction.NOTE I flipped the direction the tightening screw goes in from the photos, I realized it would be better to have the screw head face the camera, the pointy bit face away and generally down.
