I thought this was a readily available and cheap part, it was neither. I couldn't find it at the home store and the "work around" was more than $10. I got the threads for the PVC from mcmaster and the garden hose threads form the link to thingiverse. To clarify, this is a female 3/4" GHT (Garden Hose Thread) to male 3/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread).
