We intend to make this possible really soon (but not this week), to suggest a picture that you've made yourself. Right now you need to send the original designer the image (you can send him the link on a picture sharing site, for example).

if theirs add the option to import custom 3D patterns and share with others that cud be brilliant. on the share button of the tool it give a URL to copy /paste but it looks dont work now

Yeah, I saw shapeshifter.io too! :) It's pretty nice. It would be cool if you could add a design 'by URL'. That way people can continue editing... (adding to YM 'todo list').
