I was tasked with finding and creating an Open Source Appropriate Technology for one of my classes. There was a list of different projects to choose from and i came across this one. It is was developed for Kijenzi/HESE project. This device allows for a sanitary extraction of a fecal sample. When compared to a similar proprietary design, this device costs nearly 99% less. It is 100% 3D printable and took me only 1 hour. It is adapted from a pill bottle that was designed to be on a key chain. This link can be found in the acknowledgements.
