This tool acts as short a lever to allow you to more easily buckle and unbuckle your ski boots. It can be helpful in cases such as when boots become stiff from cold weather or the user has trouble buckling their boots on their own (arthritis can make it tricky).
Additionally, its durability makes it useful for tapping or scraping snow off the bottom of the boot and its size allows for it to easily be stored in a jacket pocket or ski bag. It's also a pretty effective bottle opener.
