This model needs alot of modifications on the head before it will fit together. Maybe you should post that in the description

HI @Antoine_Mercadal we printed as it is in 1) without any supports. The way its angled you dont need any supports. You just need to have a brim to ensure it doesn't fall over

Hey! How did you print the visor? Like 1) or 2) http://imgur.com/a/sDBN2 ? Awesome model otherwise!

@thedirector yes you can just mirror the leg.. Or you can make your own using meshmixer

Appears to be that the right leg without supports is missing. Don't want to assume that a mirror of the left will suffice.

@bnagel well there are the non meshmixer files you can use to generate your own supports. If you do create your own supports that works better, it would be nice if you can kindly share with the community. Good Luck

All the meshmixer supported files are a bit of a nightmare. Supports are merged with the model and some don't provide the correct supports.

I finally finished my Ed-209!!! Looks amazing, it took me about a week to print everything, the right leg held me back a couple of months! I kept having issues with support but yesterday I finally got it. Also the fact that each leg takes about 14 hours to print held me back. It is hard to find that kind of time around here! Thank you so much for sharing this model! On a side note, maybe if you slice the legs up into multiple pieces then we could print them with zero support! I would do it if I had the software and the know how.

Hmm for me the visor does not fit the head at all. The visor is wider. Real shame because I really want this in my display closet

<p>Maybe wipe abit of acetone on your print bed to help it stick. Make sure your bed is leveled .</p><p>Sorry can't be much help. We don't know much about the da vinci</p>

Hi I'm not printing a Ultimaker, but I'm using a Da Vinci. I'm having a lot of problem printing the ED_head_1 (with supports). I cannot finish and it seems that the small pieces cannot stay at bed. I'm almost finishing it, and miss the two legs and ed_head1. Can be a problem with my slicer software? I'm not using any Ultimaker soft. Thanks!

<p>Of course, problems everywhere - depends on what result you will accept as nice enough. At the end you can always bend the rules and split the parts further or add your own support to it.<br>This design is worth the effort - i like it (and i usually do not print just statics). <br><a href="http://postimg.org/image/47y7gobu3/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://postimg.org/image/47y7gobu3/</a>,<br><a href="http://postimg.org/image/n6xs6ckjj/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://postimg.org/image/n6xs6ckjj/</a>,<br><a href="http://postimg.org/image/5yu3km4tt/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://postimg.org/image/5yu3km4tt/</a>,<br><a href="http://postimg.org/image/dcxbv8t2r/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://postimg.org/image/dcxbv8t2r/</a>,<br><a href="http://postimg.org/image/50b42yslv/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://postimg.org/image/50b42yslv/</a></p>

@imaginables I mirrored the leg in Cura but I am not using Cura to slice it and the other slicer didn't like the result at all (Netfabb showed that all of the surfaces were badly orientated! I mirrored it in Netfabb and not a problem. Fixing the file in Netfabb causes more problems than it fixes and it prints fine without being fixed.

Ok cool - I hadn't thought of that! I am printing it at 50% scale and will post pictures once it is done although it will need painting first!

Is it just me not sleeping properly or are both leg files (left and right) the same?
