I've seen similar models in my various travels made using plastic, wood and/or ceramic, and decided to try my hand at creating a model for 3D printing. And even though my artistic skills are more than somewhat challenged, the grandkids enjoy them! I've included the file "DuckBunny.stl" for single extrusion printers, the file "DuckBunny.3mf" for dual extrusion printers (inspired by Tim's videos at https://www.youtube.com/user/henders007/featured), and finally the component files "DuckBunnyBody.stl" and "DuckBunnyInsert.stl" if you wish to use your preferred slicer to merge the model for dual extrusion printing. When printed at .2mm layer height with 20% infill, the single extrusion model prints horizontally (as appearing in the .STL files) in around 45 minutes. I've printed the model both horizontally with and without supports, and vertically with a brim and supports (as shown in the photograph) and found that printing vertically provides the best side to side symmetry and detail at the expense of additional time (for both printing and cleanup) and material (for both the brim and supports). I hope you enjoy it! Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Cura 4.1, and printed in PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
