750-1000 grams of material (close to a full roll)
Clear plastic 0.02 (or thinner) x 11.5" x 6.625"
18 1/16" x 1" pins
12" 1/4" OD x 3/16" ID PTFE tubing (the thicker stuff use on the Ultimaker will work but it adds resistance)
4 #4 x 1/2" Flat Head self tapping screws
2 #4 x 3/4" button head self tapping screws (go in the ends of rollers)
Glue
The STL of the bottom part has both ends so they print together.
There are 4 pieces for the top (2 are mirrors of the others.
The tray uses 2 of the same part.
There are several rollers choose the one you like.
Punch out the holes in the bottom piece.
Insert the PTFE tube into the ball
Put the ball in place and use the 4 flat head screws to attach the ball holder.
Ream all pin holes if necessary. They are plenty oversize but when printing on coarse
setting they come out a little tight on the pins.
Put pins in holes on one side of each piece.
Put clear plastic into one side of the cover and close the halves. You will need to work the plastic into the channel on the second half.
Slide all the other parts together and apply glue to seal. Only glue the joints with pins.
Put color indicating silica gel in the tray. Place roller into spool. Feed the filament through the tube. Set spool in and cover. The tube is long enough to span to the feeder when the holder is placed beside the printer like shown in the picture.
