I printed the base and the closure with PETG, 20% infill, support on the base (for the edge that overlaps the drill stand clamp at the top). If you go much higher than 30% infill, the clamp will have a hard time flexing to grasp the iron. How do you put the heat-set inserts in the base before you've printed the heat-set insert tool base? One of two ways: 1. You can carefully do these inserts while hand-holding the insert tool 2. You can print two of the Base parts, use one to clamp the tool without the rear closure, use it to place inserts in the other, then switch out the Base part in the stand, and add the closure and screws. This is something like what I did - but instead, I was moving from papa50's design to mine. There are standalone irons that have a temperature control on the handle. Some of these may fit - though be aware that you will need to get the plug through the hole, or the cord through the split in the mount.
