Description

My Daughter wanted some additional furniture for her dolls house. Here is my first attempt at designing a bed. I have also included the Solidworks files of the various components. The base will need to be glued in place between the foot and headboard slots.

thanks for the comment, and glad it made someone Happy. I have had a couple of commissions for a few more from my daughters friends since :) Having never tried to print the Assem4 in one I can't comment, very surprised legs were shorter. That's really odd Certainly had no problems printing in parts, the base should slot into the head and base boards. I put a small line of glue in the recess and slotted it together. Anyway very pleased my work has been of use.

I printed the Assem4 file using brown PLA at 0.3 mm layer height. There were some issues: - The legs on one end were shorter than the other (only a single layer). - Even with a lines support the bed ends "sagged", and made the legs move slightly outwards. I think your reccomendation to print the parts, then glue them, is good. But even with those slight problems, it is a great bed, and my daughter is happy. I did a couple of photos - but I do not know if I can upload them to this site? Anyway, thanks for making the bed, it made (another) little girl happy! :-)

Hi, I printed the parts separately and stuck together, to save having to add support

Very nice bed! If I were to print the Assem4.stl file, I do not have to glue, right? (But will need to remove support, I reckon :-) ).
