Description

My son has a "Do-It-Yourself Clock My First Clock" kit. It fell off a table, and one part broke. This is a replacement for that part.In our kit this part was yellow, and it connects between the escapement's pallet and the pendulum. The small rod snapped off of ours, hence this replacement part.I printed this on an Ultimaker 2 in Colorfabb "Bluish White" PLA/PHA (I don't have any yellow filament) and then colored it with a permanent marker. I used 100% infill. I also had to scrape out a bit of the square hole to get it to slide on due to "elephant's foot" making the hole slightly smaller at the bottom. On an FDM printer it's probably a good idea to turn this on its side before printing, so the layers run along the length of both shafts to prevent delamination. This will mean more support material to remove, however.
