The center nut on my scissors broke. Rather than throwing away a perfectly good set of handles and metal, I made a new one. It works. Doesn't have internal threading (could you even print that?), but is tight enough of a fit that the screw threads into the plastic. openSCAD is included in case you want to use this as a basis for your own stepped/scissor nut design.
