Cameras for microscopes are quite expensive and also the mounts for it. I tried to use the specific camera mount on the microscope but the lighted area is so small that I could not make a image. You would need a additional lens to do that. So I used the ocular which already has the lens.
I is possible to do it by hand but the risk is that the camera lens bumps into the microscope which the camera might not like in the long run.
After printing I noticed that I did not leave a small gap for the strap mounts on the side of the body of the camera so I removed some material on the side. I also forgot the image button on the camera so I cut a small hole on the top part. I also need to tilt the camera a little but then making a image is quite reproducible.
Note not all compact cameras would fit in the mount so be aware (Sony RX100 model)...
Note the scad file is strangely rendered on the site.
The image is just a dust particle at 600 magnification.
