Description

This is a simple insert that I glued into a wooden knob that my brother had made for me. Its designed after the plastic shift knob's shape. The external diameter could be changed to fit a different diameter.

I added some more photos showing the insert in my car, and the old plastic shift knob that I cut up, that I modeled from.

I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to. I don't remember my plastic shift knob that I cut up having any prongs that you are talking about. I can take a few more photos to show you my specific application.

Nice work. Did this insert work for your e30? The insert fit my car snug and the grooves lined up perfectly. But it looks likes it's a bit shorter than stock and lacks the prongs at the base that hold on the shifter. Did you notice that too? Just curious if you made an updated file.
