Description

A remote love affair...I like my Apple TV but I think the remote is too dang small - I keep losing it. In fact I went an entire year only to find it between a sofa cushion. If that might be you then you need this too. This neat accessory makes the remote bigger and still keeps that nice Apple design and shape. Your existing IR remote will just slide in and stay put. I printed one in silver, and another red. My wife prefers the red because she can find it. Have two remotes? Print each different color or even wood!. Batteries not included. The designI have taken great care to make this look sleek and feel good in your hand. It wasn't easy as nearly every surface edge needed a fillet radius. I have also taken the time to make it easy to make. There should be very little finish work to do if you follow my steps. I have measured the remote carefully and have given it a little slip fit. If it is too loose, then put a piece of gum on the remote and then stick it in. There is a little hole at the bottom you can use with a paperclip to eject the remote if you ever need to.Printing adviceThe model units are inches. You need to scale model for metric 25.4. See the attached pictures for the best setup. It will print very well vertically using 1mm wall and 50% infill and with a raft and support everywhere at 0 degrees (Expert>Basic>Support type>Everywhere,[...],Overhang angle=0). Prints well with PLA, ABS, and others. Thank youPlease encourage me and others alike to keep sharing ideas and creations. Give feedback and favorite me if you find this useful. Thank you and may the force be with you. Patent Pending

Yes, the scale is off. Cura says it's 2.0 x 0.5 x 6.0 mm :(

I tried this and found the scale on the STL file wrong, it was VERY tiny, only about 1cm tall! I tried test printing at 10 X scale and that's still too small. By measurement, I believe I need to scale by a factor of 17.62 to get to the proper size (using Repetier for printing)
