This Guard-rails have been designed to be compatible with various track systems, specially MDS, Scalextric Classic and WOS, Advance, etc.

The main part, the "Double Wave Barrier" must be printed in TPU and will adapt practically to any curve.
The post will be common for all included Slot Track Systems, while the base which connect with the track will be different for each Track System.

You will find 3 different "Posts", for one, two or three "Double Wave Barriers", allowing you to increase or decrease the height of the Guard-Rails at pleasure.

The connection between the Post and the Barrier is secured with a little PLA clip. The posts must be inserted into the correspondent base and "voilá"! you have your Rail-Guard ready :) Probably you will want to make that Guard-Rail longer... Print as much barriers as you want and join them with the right small part of "UnionStrap" inserting it in both ends of barriers you want to join.

I print in TPU the 265mm long version of the Barrier in the supplied position in about 25min, I hope you are not in a hurry ;)

The Posts should fit into the Bases quite hard. For the SCXC and MDS bases, it is recommended to first position the base in track and then insert the post to avoid flexing so much the lips in the base. Same reverse way to un-assemble will also help.

Print the Posts and the Bases with 0.48-0.50mm perimeter thickness and solid if you want the best results.
Try to print the Posts, Bases and Clips in groups to have enough per-layer time.

List of STLs:
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Barrier_195
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Barrier_265
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Barrier_290
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Barrier_360
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Post_SINGLE
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Post_DOUBLE
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Post_TRIPLE
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Base_MDS
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Base_SCXC
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_Base_SCXD
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_PostClip
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_PostClip_Asimetric
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_UnionStrap
  • MDS_TRACK_ACC_GuardRail_UnionStraps_4x16

In fact, for each "Complete Post" you want to build, you will have to print the post, the base and the PostClip. I use 3 "Complete Posts" for each 265mm barrier, but you can use more or less, depends on you!

The assembly can be a little of work but, in exchange, each part is printed in the best position and without supports, and the "whole thing" is a lot more configurable and re-usable and, No Glue Needed!

I tested a double barrier with great accidents against them, and the car didn't pass from the barrier and the barrier stayed well, same than the car.

I hope you enjoy the same than me choosing the right parts, printing them, assembling and finally using them in your setup :)

Thank you for your time!
