Our latest creation is a true-to-original 2-stage water jet drive for RC models.
The jet drive has a nominal diameter of 40 mm and is designed for operation with a 2.0-2.5 kW brushless motor on 3-6S LiPos.
The print data includes 3 assemblies:
- HPW40 water jet drive with control nozzle
- HPW40 water jet drive with control nozzle and reverse flap
- V8 motor cover
All necessary data for printing the housing, stator, stator housing, impellers and accessories are included.
NOTE:
The jet drive can be installed in any boat thanks to the included hull insert. The hull insert can simply be glued into your hull.
The HPW40 is extremely powerful and achieves amazingly high top speeds for jet propulsion systems. Thanks to the 2-stage design, our water jet drives are insensitive to the intake of air.
The drive is a lot of fun, both to assemble and to drive.
In addition to the print data, the data package contains detailed, illustrated assembly instructions (19 pages) as well as illustrated printing instructions (23 pages). A complete parts list is also included as an Excel document. This contains a list of all required print parts, as well as a detailed description of the required add-on parts (incl. recommended motor, servo, etc.)
The model should preferably be printed in ABS, alternatively an attempt can also be made to print in PLA+, PLA tough or CF filaments.
