How do you actually change the filament? Do you just push in a new one and it starts rolling in? There is no open-close mechanism like on iRoberts V2 feeder.

I made some modifications to this design to get it working on my Frankenstein UM Original (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/modified-sp3d-feeder-for-mk8-drive-gear). Those aside, I have to say this is probably the best feeder that I've bolted on, and I've tried many over the years. Thanks!

<p>Very slick design and very easy to print. Love the addition of the tension gauge.</p><p>Printed mine with reduced height (chopped 2mm off the bottom in Cura) so I could use the standard screws. Should have chopped only 1.9 or 1.8mm so the side holes stayed covered.<br></p><p>I actually don't like the quick material change of other feeders and prefer using the standard material change function of the UM2 (like this feeder supports). When the filament gets stuck I just pull the bowden tube from the top of the print head.</p><p>Thanks!</p>
