The motors can handle high temperature, no problem. Only issue can be the heat up of the feeder motor, that will transfer the heat to the shaft and the filament, potentially flattening the filament. Probably only an issue with PLA, and you should not cover the machine for PLA printing anyhow...

Niiiice..... looking past the most obvious solution all the time... Guess what I'm buying next week.
I've been covering my ultimaker quite some time (with a cloth) . Never had any motor problems. Due to the cloths weight , and the heat, the bowden got a bit deformed.

I am thinking about doing this to my Ultimaker, do I need to be worried about the motors overheating? Thanks.
