Nice build JonnyBischof. That's what I had in mind for the o-ring. I was afraid I couldn't print the overhang on the vertical surface. KrazyJim, I'm working in tinkercad and it is an untested work in progress. I just made it public.

https://www.tinkercad.com/things/eDQnWC4OI9M-2-way-ratchet-tensioner

All are welcome to duplicate and build on the design but give attribution to Raptor Reloaded by e-NABLE https://www.youmagine.com/designs/raptor-reloaded-by-e-nable for the hand and gauntlet design. Please provide feedback on what you learn.

WOW! You are a genius Skip! I am so going to print this design :) About the O-Ring: You could make a T-Slot (I added an example picture). This would make it easy to replace broken rings, and if fitting properly, should not come apart by itself.

If the O-rings are single piece and are in a circle, I cannot see how they can be placed in the dovetail bracket. As I understand it, from the illustration, the holes for the O-Ring on the bracket may have to be a slot to allow them to be installed.

Alternatively, a longer O-Ring could be compressed to form a long shape, like an elastic band. Then one end can be looped over the post on the pawl, then the other end forced through the hole in the bracket, up through the other hole and then that end looped over the post on the pawl. Even an elastic band could be used rather than an O-Ring.

As shown I don't think a single unlooped O-Ring can be placed in the part during printing.
